I finally have the 300 up and my first fish in it with the plans of taking down the 120 this weekend. If anyone needs one let me know.

When i stepped into the basement I noticed it was wet. Figured the overflow on the 102 had a snail in the overflow again.
Oh no.....followed the stream to the 300. Looked under the cabinet and notices a steam coming from the bulkhead that connects the return pipe to the sump had water running.

Touched the pipe to feel it and if dropped down free. Bulkhead threaded section had split.

My reeflo barraucda is pumping water into the tank faster than I can think and it is now shooting everywhere. I reach to turn off the pump and thank god the GFC blows the circiut instead of frying me.

Now a am grabbing every bucket I an trying to find something to fit in the cabinet to catch the river of water pouring out.......Note never throw away the plactic things they give you in the hospital to throw up into or the basins they give you to wash in......Both were the only things I could get in to capture water and then transfer to buckets.

Taking a breath now between moving boxes out of the water and mopping up the gallons on the floor.

But no deaths so far. Fish seems fine. I am not smiling but glad it isn't worse......it will be when my wife sees the mess so I guess I will burn another vacation day and hope I have the damage look minimal before she gets home.

Got to love this hobby.

Going back to see what I can mop and save.
Later.

I know were you can get a Jackhammer if you want to install a floor drain.

actually I have a floor drain...... 75 feet away and it apears the floor's pictch is not toward the drain..... I guess my contractor didn't understand that requesting a floor drain meant if the floor has slope it should be towards the drain.

yeah i don't get that one, seems to be a common thing. "Lets put the floor drain in a high spot!"
