Ok so i think i have this down now the resun pumps are cheap like $50 on e bay they come with a wave controller the runs on high 24v dc med 18v dc and low 12v dc. I originally bought one that was slightly used. I thought for $25 it would work for now. It has been running for 2 years and i have cleaned it once. I decided if it could take that i would make it in too a wave box. i tried once before and couldn't get any thing to work on 24v this time i came across a mk111 timer now they have a .5 to 5 second pulse which will work but the 2.5 to 6 second pause would not. I bought two and changed the pots too make both paused and pulse time .5 to 5 second and it works great. The only downfall is it has a relay and you hear it click. I think once installed in a project box you wont be able to hear it. I still have to make the box but with out it i can get a 1/4 wave in my 90. With this curcit you could run dual boxes on a large tank off one mk111. These can be built for about $85 with all new parts.

Glass box? I built a acrylic box 4x5x12 and it seems to work really well. I just need to get a mount on it right now my mag float and rocks are holding it. I need my power supply too but it is on a slow boat from china so. With the box and a 19.5 power supply i can get about a 2" wave and that is way more then i need.
