Does anyone have any recommendations on chillers for a 28g nano cube with a 150w hqi? I recently won this setup in a raffle and am unsure of running it without a chiller. Any operating advise would be great too.

something around 1/15 horse should do the trick. i think current usa and jbj both make them. i would just set it up first and see what kind of heat you are dealing with.

For the cost of a chiller you could go LED and not worry about heat. That's what I'm in the process of doing on my AP24. The light is done and it's inside the stock hood but I'm making a wood canopy to raise it up but keep it hidden.

Did you find a retro fit kit for the LEDs? A new LED hood for the nano cube is $399 and I've found the jbj chillers as low as $288. If I decide to go with a chiller is there one brand that has better quality than the others? I've found that JBJ, Current, Oceanic, AquaEuroUSA and Teco all make a chiller for nano tanks.

Build one. I did 24 Cree leds for about 300.
