I need a high head return pump with 1" fittings I just messed up my main return pump and it is now leaking badly. I was trying to take it apart for maint. and I had screws break.

Managed to get my old one from BennyZ for the time being. It's my PCX100 I traded him for the PCX55 and a panworld a while back so i am good for the night. Thank you VERY much though!!!
I'll start planning how to fix my pcx-55 or plan on what to replace it with tomorrow

did the screw head break off? or did it break back into the housing?

A screw head broke off and ALL screws are seized :( I put Vegi Oil on the backs of all of the threads and let it set for a few hours. Do you think I could use PB Blaster on it safely?

I would wrap a paper towel around the stud and squirt the PB into it to keep it confined

pb should be fine, as long as it is in an area that does not come in contact with water. if it is like the panworld pumps you will be fine. see if you can borrow someones easy out set up, they work really well for removing studs. or you can alway take it to napa, jopac, and have a machinist remove them for you.

Drill down the center of the screw with a bit just smaller than the screw. It will come out on e you get thru it.
