Pendant

Anyone have any different ways to hang a pendant over a tank besides hanging
it from the ceiling and i have no canopy yet.

I have seen some people do crazy stuff with pvc. They make a ring or two legs from which the pendant hangs, and then a few posts that go down to the stand in some fashion or another. Weird, but neat.

I bought shepherd's hooks from Lowe's, attached them to the back of my stand and hung the canopy from them. You could do similar with a pendant.

How does the Shepard hooks work???

It does take much to build a canopy. 4 to 6 hours complete, depending on how elaborate you want.

You can buy the shepherd's hooks at Lowe's or similar.

They are basically steel poles with large hooks on them to hang flower baskets from. Mine had a support coming off the bottom that I snapped off.

After that, I just used some small steel "clamps" of sorts and attached the shepherd's hooks to the back of my stand and hung my canopy from them.

I'll dig and see if I can't find a picture.
