I have the 2 corals below that are not really doing much while everything else in the tank is doing great. My parameters are all good. The frog spawn used to open really full and a few months ago it just stopped blooming out. I have a 72 gal with a 8 bulb nova extreme T5 light. I have moved it all over the tank it seems to be doing better being in the shade but is still not opening as it was.

The other is a SPS I got with a trade I am not sure what it is but the polyps do not open like the rest of my SPS I have tried moving it to the top in direct flow nothing seems to get it to open any ideas?

some sps corals will open up more than others. have you done any water tests lately? frogspawn will do that every now and then. just keep it lower in the tank in lower flow and it should come around soon.

yeah frogspawn looks good to me, nice colony btw. I know mine at times seems to get grumpy and not fully open

it looks like cyno bacteria on your substrate, maybe you have high nutrient levels leading to poor water quality. just a thought!

I noticed that it has been growing lately didn't really think about that good call. I just switched to a bigger sump and it seems to be dwindling. The last 2 days it has looked better then it has for awhile. I am looking for a reactor so I can run GFO just need to get one.
